Our Vision Characteristic 3:

Holistic Care Group

As The Living Way grows, we will be big enough to impact, and small enough to care. People are God’s priority. They will not be lost in the crowd as we care and edify one another in the Care Groups.

Care Groups are the smallest cell units of The Living Way Church. They are not just another ministry, another programme. Care Groups are the key to growth and expansion. We believe that we will grow bigger and smaller at the same time through the Care Groups. Bigger, as we grow in numbers; smaller, as we grow in loving care for one another.

Love is contagious. People are drawn to genuine love, which is found in the church. Through the Care Groups we establish relationship and fellowship, but it is also where we reach out to unbelievers in relational evangelism.

When Pastor Cho Yongi grew his church to a few thousand members strong, he fell sick one day and was hospitalised. During that period of time, he commissioned the older believers in the church to group other members together and “pastored” them in his absence. After he was discharged from the hospital, he discovered to his amazement that the church did not shrink but grow under the care of the many small group leaders. The Holy Spirit spoke to him through this experience. Today, Pastor Cho’s pastors the largest church in the world, with membership of about 800,000. The key? The home cell groups.
